Litany for the Congregations

Priest

Again, let us ask God the Pantocrator, the Father of our Lord, God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

We ask and entreat Thy Goodness, O Lover of mankind.

نسأل ونطلب من صلاحك يا محب البشر.

أذكر يا رب أذكر يا رب اجتماعاتنا.

The priest signs the congregation once and says

Bless them.

The priest holds the censer and says

يمسك الكاهن المجمرة ويقول:

Grant that they may be unto us without obstacle or hindrance, that we may hold them according to Thine holy and blessed will.

أعط أن تكون لنا بغير مانع ولا عائق لنصنعها كمشيئتك المقدسة الطوباوية.

The priest censes towards the four sides of the altar in form of a cross starting from the east, west, north and then south, and says

يبخر الكاهن تجاه جوانب المذبح الأربعة في شكل الصليب، بداية من الشرق ثم الغرب ثم الشمال ثم الجنوب، ويقول:

Houses of prayer, houses of purity, houses of blessing: grant them unto us, O Lord, and Thy servants who shall come after us forever.

The worship of idols, utterly uproot from the world.

عبادة الأوثان بالكمال أقلعها من العالم.

Satan and all his evil powers do Thou trample and humiliate under our feet speedily.

الشيطان وكل قواته الشريرة اسحقهم وأذلهم تحت أقدامنا سريعاً.

أعداء كنيستك المقدسة يارب مثل كل زمان والآن أذلهم.

Strip their vanity; show them their weakness speedily.

حل تعاظمهم. عرفهم ضعفهم سريعاً.

Bring to naught their envy, their intrigues, their madness, their wickedness and their slander, which they commit against us.

أبطل حسدهم وسعايتهم وجنونهم وشرهم ونميمتهم التى يصنعونها فينا.

O Lord, bring them all to no avail. Disperse their counsel, O God, Who dispersed the counsel of Ahithophel.

The priest censes three times towards the east of the altar and says

Arise, O Lord God. Let all Thine enemies be scattered, and let all that Thine Holy Name flee before Thy face.

قم أيها الرب الاله وليتفرق جميع أعدائك وليهرب من قدام وجهك كل مبغضى إسمك القدوس.

The priest looks towards the west, offers incense to the priests, deacons and congregation, and says

But let Thy people be in blessing: thousands of thousands, and ten thousand time ten thousands, doing Thy will.

Peklaoc demaref]wpi 'en pi`cmou> `e\anan]o `n]o nem \an`qba `n`qba eu`iri `mpekouw].

وأما شعبك فليكن بالبركة الوف الوف وربوات ربوات يصنعون ارادتك.

Then the priest looks towards the east, offers incense three times towards the east and says

By the grace ...

بالنعمة والرأفات ...

In the wisdom of God, let us attend. Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy. In truth.
