On 14 May 1702 Cristelli undertook to execute the statue, which was finished 25 March 1703

During 1703 he received the payment of 80 scudi.
This is the only known monumental work of the artist.
Height - 3.1 m. (10ft 4in) travertine
The martyr was a youth, and according with Roman tradition wears a short tunic with his cloak and sandals. His right hand points to the Vatican Basilica, his left holds the palm of martyrdom.
