A mural painting of an altar’s dome of an ancient Church in Saint Pola Monastery, Red Sea, dating back to the 18th Century A.D. The painting shows seven angels blowing a trumpet (perhaps the seven Spirits of God or the seven heads of angels), surrounding Christ the Lord on His throne. The throne is carried by the four living creatures. Surrounding this scene, there are the twenty-four elders with the name of each written above his head in Coptic.

The paintings of the four living creatures have been present in Churches since the first century A.D and continued to medieval centuries up until now.

رسم جداري لقبة هيكل الكنيسة الأثرية بدير الأنباً بولاً بالبحر الأحمر، ويرجع تاريخهاً إلى القرن الثامن عشر الميلادي.

ويظهر فيهاً سبعة ملائكة ينفخون في الأبواق (ربماً سبعة أرواح الله، أو السبعة رؤساء الملائكة)، وهم محيطون بالسيد المسيح الجالس على العرش. ويحمل العرش الكائنات الأربعة غير المتجسدة. وموجود حول هذاً المنظر 24 شيخ أسماؤهم مكتوبة باللغة القبطية مقابل كل واحد منهم.

رسومات الكائنات الأربعة غير المتجسدة موجودة في رسومات الكنائس من القرون الأولى للمسيحية، واستمرت في القرون الوسطى وإلى الآن.
