And the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, came into the wilderness of Sin, in the first month, and the people abode in Cades; and Mariam died there, and was buried there. And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and Aaron. And the people reviled Moses, saying, Would we had died in the destruction of our brethren before the Lord! And wherefore have ye brought up the congregation of the Lord into this wilderness, to kill us and our cattle? And wherefore is this? Ye have brought us up out of Egypt, that we should come into this evil place; a place where there is no sowing, neither figs, nor vines, nor pomegranates, neither is there water to drink. And Moses and Aaron went from before the assembly to the door of the tabernacle of witness, and they fell upon their faces; and the glory of the Lord appeared to them. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Take thy rod, and call the assembly, thou and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye to the rock before them, and it shall give forth its waters; and ye shall bring forth for them water out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their cattle. And Moses took his rod which was before the Lord, as the Lord commanded. And Moses and Aaron assembled the congregation before the rock, and said to them, Hear me, ye disobedient ones; must we bring you water out of this rock? And Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his rod twice; and much water came forth, and the congregation drank, and their cattle. And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, Because ye have not believed me to sanctify me before the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them. This is the water of Strife, because the children of Israel spoke insolently before the Lord, and he was sanctified in them.	Ouo\ auinje nen]hri mpic/l/ ;cunagwgh thrc e\rhi eptwou nCina 'en piabot n\ouit > ouo\ af]wpi nje pilaoc 'en Kadhc> ouo\ acmou mmau nje Mariam> ouo\ auqomc mmau> ne mmon mwou pe 'en ;cunagwgh> ouo\ auqwou; ejen Mwuchc nem Aarwn> Ouo\ nare pilaoc \wou] eMwuchc efjwmmoc> je amoi eneanmou pe 'en ptako nnencnhou mpemqo mp Ouo\ eqbeou areten ini n;cunagwgh nte Po/c/ epai]afe>e'oqben nem nentebnwoui> eqbeou etareten i ebol'en pka\i nxhmi epaima et\wou> pima ete mpauci; mmof> oude mmon kente n'htf> oude ke aloli > oude erman> oude mmon mwou ecw > Ouo\ afi nje Mwuchc nem Aarwn ebol\a p\o n;cunagwgh \iren vro n;ckunh nte ;metmeqre> ouo\ au\itou ejen pou\o > ouo\ pwou mPo/c/ afouon\f e\rhi ejwou Ouo\ a Po/c/ caji nem Mwuchc nem Aarwn efjw mmoc> Je si mpi]bwt> ouo\ qwou; n;cunagwgh thrc nqok nem Aarwn pekcon > ouo\ caji nem ;petra mpoumqo > ouo\ ece; nnecmwou> ouo\ eretenen mwou nwou ebol'en ;petra> ouo\ eretentco n;cunagwgh nem noutebnwoui> Ouo\ aMwuchc si mpi]bwt vhetxh mpemqo mPo/c/ kata vrh; eta Po/c/ ouca\ni Ouo\ Mwuchc nem Aarwn auqwou; n;cunagwgh mpemqo n;petra pejafnwou >je cwtem eroi niatcwtem>mhti tennaini noumwou nwten ebol'en taipetra> Ouo\ aMwuchc twoun ntefjij ep]wi> afme] ;petra 'en pi]bwt ncopcnau ouo\ afi ebol nje ouni]; mmwou> ouo\ accw nje ;cunagwgh nem noutebnwoui Ouo\ peje Po/c/ mMwuchc nem Aarwn> je eqbeou mpetenna\; etouboi mpemqo nnen]hri mPic/l/> eqbe vai nnetenwli ntai cunagwgh e'oun epika\i vhe tai thif nwou Vai pe pimwou nte ;antilogia> je au\wou] nje nen]hri mpic/l/ mpemqo mP> aftoubo n'rhi n'htou> Ouwou n;triac eq/u/	وجاء بنو إسرائيل الجماعة كلها إلى جبل سيناء في الشهر الأول وأقام الشعب بقادش، وماتت مريم ثم دفنت هناك ولم يكن ماء للجماعة، فاجتمعوا على موسى وهرون وخاصم الشعب موسى قائلين : ليتنا متنا موت أخوتنا أمام الرب، لماذا جئتما بجماعة الرب إلى هذه البرية لتقتلانا نحن ومواشينا ؟ ولماذا أخرجتمانا من أرض مصر إلى هذا الموضع الرديء، موضع لا زرع فيه ولا تين ولا عنب ولا رمان وليس فيه ماء للشرب ؟ فجاء موسى وهرون من أمام الجماعة إلى باب قبة الشهادة وسقطا على وجههما فتجلى لهما مجد الرب، وكلم الرب موسى وهرون قائلاً : خذ العصا وإجمع الجماعة كلها أنت وهرون أخوك، كلما الصخرة قدامهم فتعطي مياهها فتخرجا لهم ماء من الصخرة، وتسقيا الجماعة ومواشيهم فأخذ موسى العصا من أمام الرب كما أمره الرب وجمع موسى وهرون الجماعة أمام الصخرة وقال لهم : أسمعوا أيها المتمردون، أنخرج لكم من هذه الصخرة ماء. ورفع موسى يده وضرب الصخرة بالعصا مرتين، فخرج ماء غزير فشرب منه الجماعة ومواشيهم، فقال الرب لموسى وهرون : لأجل أنكما لم تؤمنا لتقدسانى أمام أعين بني إسرائيل، لذلك لا تدخلان هذه الجماعة إلى الأرض التي أعطيتهم إياها، هذا هو ماء الخصومة، حيث إختصم بنو إسرائيل أمام الرب فتقدس فيهم. مجداً للثالوث الأقدس
