Month of Amshir, the sixth Coptic month in the Egyptian Coptic Calendar. The word is written in Arabic, English and Coptic, with images and figures representing this month. One of this month's famous sayings: "Amshir, the father of the harsh wind, it takes the old woman and fly away with her", i.e. too much wind, storms and cold (shown figures of wind and snow). Also the "Season of Emergence" is written in Hieroglyphic, as the water of the deluge subsides, and plants start to grow. The name of the month comes from "Mento" God of storms, and you can see his image. In the cartouche there is the number of the month (6), and in the circle that is surrounded by serpents there is the number in Coptic. It lies between February and March. كلمة شهر أمشير، وهو الشهر القبطي السادس من الشهور القبطية المصرية. والكلمة مكتوبة باللغات العربية والإنجليزية والقبطية، مع صور وأشكال تعبر عن الشهر. فيوجد من الأمثال الشعبية لهذا الشهر: "أمشير أبو الزعابير الكتير، ياخد العجوزة ويطير"، أي تعبير عن شدة البرد والرياح. واسم الشهر مشتق من الإله "منتو" إله الزوابع، ويوجد أمثلة للرياح والثلج.. ويوجد كلمة "موسم البزوغ" (برويت) بالهيروغليفية، حيث ينحسر الفيضان وتبدأ الزروع في النمو. وفي الخرطوش يوجد رقم الشهر (6)، وفي الدائرة المحاطة بالثعابين يوجد رقم الشهر بالقبطية. وهو يقع ما بين شهري فبراير ومارس. - تصميم مايكل غالي لـ: موقع الأنبا تكلا هيمانوت
