This statue was carved simultaneously with the cherub holding scrolls on the Monument to Clement X in St Peter's.
Height - 3.1 m. (10ft 4in) travertine
The saint turns to the right, as if to look at his brother Cosmas. He has a wide cloak with ample folds. With his left hand he holds the palm of martyrdom.

Fantasia agreed to execute the statue on 13 January 1702 and delivered it on 5 August 1703.

The saint, positioned next to his brother Damian with whom he was martyred, is depected with a beard, wrapped in heavy drapery, and without attributes.
