The company of the prophets from Jericho, who were watching, said, ‘The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha.’ They went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him. Against Elisha’s advice, the prophets insisted on looking for Elijah in case the Spirit of the Lord had set him down on the ground again. They searched for three days but did not find him.
