Christian iconography fills this decorative frontispiece, with images of Adam, Eve, Moses, Aaron, Isaac and Jacob, Jesus and others. Hebrews 11, verse 13 is quoted at bottom in French text (All these died according to faith, not having received the promises but beholding them afar off and saluting them and confessing that they are pilgrims and strangers on the earth). - Drawn and engraved by B.
