Joseph meets his father Jacob (Israel) - Joseph was in control of all Egypt. When there was a great famine, Joseph opened the stores and sold the grain to the Egyptians. When all the land of Egypt was famished, Joseph’s brothers came to Egypt to buy grain. Joseph recognized his brothers but they didn’t recognize him until he told them and he told them to tell their father that he was alive and he was in control of Egypt. He asked them to bring their father to Egypt. When Israel (Jacob) came, Joseph got out to meet his father and fell on his neck and wept on his neck a good while. لقاء يوسف بأبيه يعقوب (إسرائيل) - كان يوسف متسلط على كل أرض مصر عندما حدث جوع على كل وجه الأرض، وفتح يوسف جميع ما فيه طعام وباع للمصريين، واشتد الجوع في أرض مصر، وجاءت كل الأرض إلى مصر إلى يوسف لتشتري قمحاً، فنزل عشرة من إخوة يوسف ليشتروا قمحاً من مصر. عرف يوسف إخوته ولكنهم لم يعرفوه إلا بعد أن عرفهم هو بنفسه وطلب منهم أن يعلموا أبيهم أنه حي وهو المتسلط على كل أرض مصر وطلب منهم أن يحضروا أبيهم إلى مصر. وعندما جاء إسرائيل (يعقوب) أبيه خرج يوسف للقائه، وبكى طويلاً على عنقه. فقال إسرائيل ليوسف "أموت الآن بعد ما رأيت وجهك أنك حي بعد" (سفر التكوين 46: 30) - صور الإنجيل من إن إتش بي.
