Blood on door: "Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.. And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin" (Exodus 12: 13, 22).

الدم على الباب: "ويكون لكم الدم علامة على البيوت التي أنتم فيها، فأرى الدم وأعبر عنكم، فلا يكون عليكم ضربة للهلاك حين أضرب أرض مصر.. وخذوا باقة زوفا واغمسوها في الدم الذي في الطست ومسوا العتبة العليا والقائمتين بالدم الذي في الطست" (الخروج 12: 13، 22).
