255- The Church of St. Takla Himanot at His birthplace

 كنيسة الأنبا تكلاهيمانوت في محل مولده

After that I asked to go to the Church..  It would have been very bad if I couldn’t get inside the Church after all that..  Especially that that was our last visit for us here in Habisha..  God gave us grace in their eyes, and one of the monks brought the keys..  I entered with the Deacon inside the Church of Saint Taklehaimanot at His birthplace in Ettissa..  Seems that the Church was new, maybe there were other older Churches than it..  Or it was rebuilt, or added new icons..  But the icons of that Church were ones of the best icons I had seen in all Ethiopoia..  Of which an icon of Saint Taklehaimanot at the entrance with more than six meters height..  There were tens of other icons depicting Saints from the Holy Bible and Church history..  One of the largest icons there was an icon for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, the Judgment Day, the Heavens, and at the bottom Satan and the eternal suffering for the bad..

بعد هذا طلبت دخول الكنيسة..  وكانت سيصبح الأمر صعباً جداً إذا لم أستطع دخول الكنيسة بعد كل هذا..  وخصوصاً أن هذه هي آخر زيارة لنا في الأماكن المقدسة هنا في الحبشة..  وأعطانا الله نعمة في أعينهم، وأحضر أحد الآباء الرهبان المفاتيح..  ودخلت مع الشماس إلى داخل كنيسة القديس تكلا هيمانوت في محل ميلاده في قرية إتيسا..  يبدو أن الكنيسة حديثة، وربما توجد كنائس أخرى أقدم منها..  أو تم إعادة بناءها، أو وضع أيقونات حديثة..  ولكن أيقونات تلك الكنيسة من أروع الأيقونات التي رأيتها في كل الحبشة..  منها أيقونة للقديس تكلا هيمانوت في المدخل بطول أكثر من ستة أمتار..  وتوجد عشرات الأيقونات الأخرى لقديسين من الكتاب المقدس والتاريخ الكنسي..  من الأيقونات الضخمة على أحد الحوائط أيقونة المجيء الثاني للسيد المسيح والدينونة ودخول العُرس السماوي وفي الأسفل الشيطان والعذاب الأبدي للأشرار..
