200- Churches of Lalibela

Anyway..  Lalibella is named after a famous king, it was named before “Roha” by the name of another king..  (Something like changing the name of Ramsis square in Egypt, and making it Mubarak square)!!  King Lalibella for the Ethiopians is considered as a saint..  The city is famous for its rock hewn churches..  The most famous of them are eleven churches, divided into two complexes, I went today to the first part of them, which are about seven, and they are (arranged by the visit):

على أي الأحوال..  مدينة لاليبيلا على اسم ملك شهير، وكان اسمها قبلاً "روها" أو "رها" على اسم ملك آخر..  (شيء مثل تغيير اسم ميدان رمسيس باسم ميدان مبارك مثلاً)!!  والملك لاليبيلا بالنسبة للأحباش هو قديس..  والمدينة شهيرة بكنائسها المنحوتة في الصخر..  وأشهرها هم إحدى عشر كنيسة أثرية، مقسمة إلى مجموعتين، ذهبت اليوم إلى المجموعة الأولى  منها، وهي حوالي سبعة كنائس، هم بترتيب الزيارة:

3- Bergy Church

4- Beina Debra Sina Church

5- Golgotha Church

6- Maskal Church (The Church of the Cross, or Archangel Michael Church)

7- Beita Gorgis Church (Saint George Church)

3- كنيسة بيرجي

4- كنيسة بينا ديبرا سينا

5- كنيسة الجلجثة

6- كنيسة ماسكال (كنيسة الصليب، أو كنيسة الملاك ميخائيل)
