إذا رﺑﺢ اﻻﻧﺴﺎن اﻟﻌﺎﻟﻢ وﺧﺴﺮ ﻧﻔﺴﻪ ﻓﻤﺎ هي هذه اﻟﺤﻴﺎة اﻟﺒﺎﻃﻠﺔ. اﻟﻘﺪﻳﺲ اﻟﺴﻴﺪ اﺑﺎﻧﻮب اﻟﺒﺘﻮل اﻟﺸﻬﻴﺪ اﻋﺘﺮف ﺑﺎﻟﻤﺴﻴﺢ اﻣﺎم ﻣﺨﺎﻟﻔﻮ اﻟﻨﺎﻣﻮس. وﺑﺰل ﻧﻔﺴﻪ ﻟﻠﻤﻮت وﺟﺴﺪﻩ ﻟﻠﻨﺎر وﻗﺒﻞ ﻋﺰاﺑﺎت ﻋﻈﻴﻤﺔ ﻣﻦ اﺟﻞ اﺑﻦ اﷲ اﻟﺤﻰ. ﻧﺎل اﻻآﻠﻴﻞ اﻟﺴﻤﺎئ ﻣﻦ اﻟﻤﻠﻚ اﻟﻤﺴﻴﺢ وﻋﻴﺪ ﻣﻊ الشهداء في كورة الأحياء اﻟﺴﻼم ﻟﻚ اﻳﻬﺎ اﻟﺸﻬﻴﺪ اﻟﺰى ﺳﻔﻜﺖ دﻣﻚ ﻋﻠﻰ اﺳﻢ اﻟﻤﺴﻴﺢ اﻟﺰى اﺣﺒﺘﻪ ﻧﻔﺴﻚ. اﻃﻠﺐ ﻣﻦ اﻟﺮب ﻋﻨﺎ اﻳﻬﺎ اﻟﺸﻬﻴﺪ اﻟﻤﺠﺎهﺪ اﻟﻘﺪﻳﺲ اﻟﺴﻴﺪ اﺑﺎﻧﻮب ﻟﻴﻐﻔﺮ ﻟﻨﺎ ﺧﻄﺎﻳﺎﻧﺎ |

ⲀϥϭⲒ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲭ̀ⲗⲟⲙ ⲛ̀ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ⲟⲩⲣⲁⲛⲓⲟⲛ: ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲁϥⲉⲣϣⲁⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲙⲁⲣⲧⲩⲣⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧ̀ⲭⲱⲣⲁ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲟⲛϧ ⲭⲉⲣⲉ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲱ̀ ⲡⲓⲙⲁⲣⲧⲩⲣⲟⲥ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁⲕⲫⲱⲛ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲕⲥ̀ⲛⲟϥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲉ̀ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⲙ̀ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁϥⲙ̀ⲉⲛⲣⲓⲧϥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲕⲯⲩⲭⲏ. ⲧⲱⲃϩ ⲙ̀Ⲡⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉ̀ϩ̀ⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲱⲛ: ⲱ̀ ⲡⲓⲁⲑⲗⲟⲫⲟⲣⲟⲥ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲣⲧⲩⲣⲟⲥ: ⲡⲓⲁⲅⲓⲟⲥ ⲕⲩⲣⲓ Ⲁⲡⲁ ⲁⲛⲟⲩⲃ: ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲭⲁ ⲛⲉⲛⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ. |
What shall it profit a man, if he
shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Oh, the vanity of this world. The holy master Abanoub, the holy virgin, confessed the Lord Jesus Christ, before the lawless people He gave his soul unto death, and his flesh unto the fire, and received great afflictions, for the Son of the living GodHe received the heavenly crown, from the King Jesus Christ, and celebrated with the martyrs, in the land of the living. Hail to you O martyr, whom you shed your blood, for the name of Christ, whom your soul has loved. Pray to the Lord on our behalf, O struggle mantled martyr, holy master Abanoub, that He may forgive us our sins. |

The Saint Lord Abanoub the celibate martyr confessed Christ Before the lawless ones He gave his soul to death And his body to the fire He bore many sufferings For the Son of the Living God He took the heavenly crown From Christ the King He joined the martyrs In the land of the living Hail to you, O martyr Who shed his blood For the sake of Christ The love of his soul Pray to the Lord on our behalf, O victorious martyr The holy Lord Abanoub That He may forgive us our sins. |
