St-Takla.org Image: Month of Hatour, the third Coptic month in the Egyptian Coptic Calendar. The word is written in Arabic, English and Coptic, with images and figures representing this month. One of this month's famous sayings: "Hatour, the father of the scattered gold", i.e. the seeds of the wheat. The name of the month comes from "Hathour" Goddess of Gifts, and you can see her image. In the cartouche there is the number of the month (3), and in the circle that is surrounded by serpents there is the number in Coptic. The verse "Sanctify fasting" is written, as the Nativity fast starts by the end of November. It lies between November and December.
