وأثناء ذلك يقول الكاهن سرًا:

(أذكر يا رب أباءنا القديسين الأرثوذكسيين رؤساء الأساقفة الذين سبقوا فرقدوا هؤلاء الذين فصلوا كلمة الحق باستقامة وأعطنا نحن أيضاَ حظًا ونصيبًا معهم ذاكرًا أيضًا هؤلاء الذين نذكرهم في يومنا هذا)

 

الترحيم

يقول الكاهن

((وهؤلاء وكل أحد يارب الذين ذكرنا أسماؤهم والذين لم نذكرهم الذين في فكر كل واحد منا والذين ليسوا في فكرنا الذي رقدوا وتنيحوا في الإيمان بالمسيح))

ثم يضع الكاهن بخورًا في المجمرة ويقول:

((أذكر يا رب نفس عبدك..))

وأثناء ذلك يقول الشماس

((أطلبوا عن آباءنا وأخوتنا الذين رقدوا وتنيحوا في الإيمان بالمسيح منذ البدء آباءنا القديسين رؤساء الأساقفة وآباءنا الأساقفة آبائنا القمامصة وآبائنا القسوس وإخوتنا الشمامسة آبائنا الرهبان وآباءنا العلمانيين وعن نياح كل المسيحيين لكي المسيح إلهنا ينيح نفسوهم أجمعين في فردوس النعيم ونحن أيضًا يصنع معنا رحمة ويغفر لنا خطايانا))
