216- The ropes of the Monastery

 حبال الدير

Saint Taklahaimanot was moving around the country preaching the Holy Gospel, and spend long times in various places..  He spent in the Monastery of St. Argawi (Monastery of Debre Damo) 12 years in a cave..  After that time was over, he had to go down the mountain using the ropes..  On His way down, the rope was cut, and Saint Taklehaimanot was falling to the ground from about 60 meters high..  God gave Him six wings to fall safely to ground..

القديس تكلا هيمانوت كان يجوب البلاد يبشر بالإنجيل، وقد قضى فترات طويلة في أماكن متعددة..  وقد قضى في دير القديس إرجاوي "دير ديبرا دامو" 12 سنة يعيش في مغارة..  وبعد إنقضاء هذه الفترة، كان عليه أن ينزل من الجبل عن طريق الحبال..  وفي طريقه للنزول، انقطع الحبل، وبدأ القديس تكلا هيمانوت في السقوط من علو حوالي 60 متراً..  فأعطاه الله ستة أجنحة لينزل بها إلى الأرض سالماً..

That is our aim from visiting this Monastery..  And bearing with the hard way, starting from 6.00 am till 12.00 pm..

هذا هو هدف زيارتنا لهذا الدير..  وتحملنا للطريق الذي استغرق من السادسة صباحاً حتى ما بعد الثانية عشر ظهراً..

The mountain consists of two parts..  First part on foot, and the other part (about 10-25 meters), by hands!

كان الجبل عبارة عن قسمان..  القسم الأول هو الصعود باستخدام الأرجل، والقسم الثاني وهو حوالي 15-25 متراً، هو الصعود باستخدام الأيدي!
