Yesterday I got to know that there is a new Monastery by the name of Saint Taklehaimanot in Bahr Dar, other than that in one of Lake Tana’s islands, which we visited yesterday..  We had to visit it as a holy place for Saint Taklehaimanot.. I asked how to reach there, and learned that it is closed to BahrDar University “Beda”, I took a cab to get there, God arranged that the driver speaks Arabic, as he lived for a while in Sudan..  When we arrived at the University, the driver got out of the car to ask for me, and we learned that the Monastery is at the woods behind the University, the shorter way is to walk through the University of Baher Dar, instead of walking the whole way around it to the Monastery..

علمت أمس الأول بوجود دير حديث للقديس تكلا هيمانوت في بحر دار، غير ذلك الدير الموجود على إحدى جزر بحيرة تانا، وهو الدير الذي قمنا بزيارته بالأمس..  وكان لِزاماً علينا أن نزوره كمان مقدس للقديس تكلا هيمانوت..  وبدأت أسأل كيف أصل له، وعلمت أنه قريب من جامعة بحر دار (بيدا)، واستقليت عربة للتوجه إلى هناك، ودبَّر الله أن يكون السائق يتحدث العربية لوجوده فترة في السودان..  وعندما وصلنا للجامعة، نزل السائق من العربة ليسأل لي، وعلمنا من المحيطين أن الدير في الغابة وراء أرض الجامعة، والطريق الأقصر له هو من خلال السير إلى الدير من داخل أرض جامعة بحر دار، بدلاً من السير حولها كلها للتوجه للدير..

We headed to the gates of the University, the driver asked them to get inside with the car, we were denied entering the campus with or without a car..!  There was either one of two options..  First to leave the car and walk to the Monastery for about two hours..  The other solution is Saint Taklehaimanot!!  I headed again to the guards at the gate, got the permission letter that I have, told them that I am from Saint Taklehaimanot’s Church in Egypt, and I have to visit that Monastery..  Then they accepted on one condition, that one of the guards accompanies me inside the campus..  I thanked the driver, and headed with the guard to the Monastery from inside the campus to a new Monastery by the name of Saint Taklehaimanot.

وتوجهنا إلى باب الجامعة، وتحدث السائق بأن يدخل بالعربة، فتم منعنا من دخول الحرم الجامعي بعربة أو بدون..!  ولم يكن هناك سوى حلين..  الأول هو أن أترك العربة وأسير للدير مسافة ساعتين تقريباً..  أو الحل الآخر، وهو القديس تكلا هيمانوت!!  فتوجهت مرة أخرى للحرس على البوابة، وأخرجت التصريح الموجود معي، وأخبرتهم أنني من كنيسة القديس تكلا هيمانوت في مصر، ويجب أن أقوم بزيارة هذا الدير..  وسمحوا لي بالدخول، بشرط أن يصحبني أحد الحراس داخل الجامعة..  وشكرت السائق، وتوجهت مع الحارس داخل أرض الجامعة متوجهين إلى دير حديث باسم القديس تكلا هيمانوت.
