163- Aswa Mariam Monastery

 دير أزوا مريم

Then we left the island at 12:40, heading to “Aswa Maryam” Monastery in another island..  That Monastery had also many beautiful old icons..

ثم تركنا الجزيرة في الساعة الواحدة إلا الثلث، وتوجهنا إلى دير "أزوا مريم" على جزيرة أخرى.  الدير به أيضاً كثير من الأيقونات الأثرية الجميلة..

Then to another Monastery on the same island, then to its museum, that had icons, crowns, crosses and royal vestments.  We left that island at 3:00 pm., sailed for 30 minutes, and reached the Monastery of Kebran Gabriel, established in 1329.  Its icons were fabulous and very old, it needed some restoration and care..  Two of which to Saint Taklehaimanot..  There are also some icons at the outside walls of the Church..  Then we got to its museum, it had many valuable pieces of crosses, crowns, manuscripts, censors, icons..

ومنه إلى دير آخر بنفس الجزيرة، ثم إلى المتحف الخاص به، وبه بعض المخطوطات والصور والتيجان والصلبان وملابس الملوك.  ثم تركنا هذه الجزيرة الساعة الثالثة ظهراً وأبحرنا لمدة نصف ساعة، لنصل إلى دير كيبران الملاك جبرائيل، الذي تم تأسيسه عام 1329.  أيقونات الدير أثرية بحق، وربما تكون في حاجة لبعض الترميم والعناية..  منها أيقونتان للقديس تكلاهيمانوت..  وأيضاً يوجد بعض الأيقونات على الحوائط الخارجية للكنيسة..  ثم دخلنا إلى المتحف الخاص بالكنيسة، وبه العديد من القطع القيمة من صلبان وتيجان ملوك ومخطوطات ومجامر وصور..
