I preferred to stay at the residence that day to finish translating and designing the third and fourth parts of the visit..  When I got back yesterday I knew that someone died from the neighbors, the consolation gathering was in the house that I was staying in..!  I saw a side of the Ethiopian life that I was not looking for!  In the morning there were cries, but today they started chanting, and one of the fathers gave a sermon, and they all stood up for prayer..  We ask the Lord for mercy to everyone and unto us..

آثرت أن أبقي في المسكن هذا اليوم لمحاولة إنهاء ترجمة وتصميم القسم الثالث والرابع من الزيارة..  وكان عندما عدت بالأمس أن علمت أنه هناك حالة وفاة في منزل الجيران، وكان العزاء في المنزل الذي كنت موجوداً به..!  ورأيت جانباً آخراً من الحياة الحبشية لم أكن أبحث عنه!  كان هناك بكاء في الصباح، ولكن اليوم بدأوا في الترنيم، وقام أحد الآباء بإلقاء عظة، وقام الجميع بالصلاة..  نسأل الله الرحمة للجميع ولنا..
