7- The power of love

It is written in the Holy Bible, "love is as strong as death

... Many waters cannot quench love, nor can the floods drown it" (Song 8:6,7). Love is strong and positive, in that it gives and sacrifices, even sacrificing oneself for whom one loves...

Love is also strong with respect to the passive aspect, in that it endures the faults of others, regardless of what they may be, as we have discussed this issue before here on st-takla.org in other sections. So the Apostle says, "Love never fails" (1Cor. 13:8).

But a person who turns his love away from a friend because of a word or action, may be because his love initially was weak.

Love is capable of ascending to the cross in order to save and redeem.
