232- The cave of Saint Takla Himanot in Debre Damo Monastery

I asked the first monk about the place that Saint Taklehaimanot stayed on for 12 years in the Monastery..  I went with the guide there, it was a cave with a small opening at the sides of the mountain, above with about three meters..  Climbing to it was hard, and requires special skills and use to such nature..  I was in a phase that I didn’t believe that monk that this was the place of Saint Taklehaimanot, as the man was not so helpful..  So I asked a proof from the guide..  He assured me that this was the place..  Till that point I didn’t see a single icon for Saint Taklehaimanot in the only Church I visited, and informed them with my surprise of this..  I was told that there are icons for Him at His cave over the mountain there..  I asked the guide to show me an icon from the cave!  He climbed the cave while being displeased due to the difficulty of climbing, and got in, and got for me some different pictures for Saint Taklehaimanot there..  :)  That was very satisfying to make sure that this was the spot that Saint Taklehaimanot had lived in for twelve years, in a decisive moment in His life, as after He left there, the miracle of the six wings happened when the rope that He was using to get down from Debre Damo got cut..  I prayed there for those who asked for prayers in this place, for the website & the Church..

سألت الراهب الأول عن المكان الذي عاش فيه القديس تكلا هيمانوت لمدة 12 سنة في الدير..  وذهبت مع المرشد إليه، وكان عبارة عن مغارة بها فتحة صغيرة على حدود الجبل على علو حوالي ثلاثة أمتار..  وكان الصعود إليها صعباً، ويتطلب قدرة خاصة واعتياد على هذه الطبيعة..  وكنت وصلت إلى مرحلة لم أصدق فيها كلام هذا الراهب أن هذا هو المكان الخاص بالقديس تكلاهيمانوت، حيث لم يكن الرجل مساعداً..  فطلبت إثباتاً من المرشد بهذا..  فأكد لي أن هذا هو المكان..  وكنت لم أرى أي صورة للقديس تكلا هيمانوت في الكنيسة الوحيدة التي زرتها، وأبديت اندهاشي لهذا..  وقيل لي بوجود صور في مغارة القديس تكلا هيمانوت على الجبل هنا..  فطلبت من المرشد أن يُريني الصورة من المغارة!  فقام بالتسلق عليها وهو ممتعض بسبب صعوبة الصعود، ودخل فيها، وأخرج مجموعة من صور القديس تكلا هيمانوت المختلفة هناك.. :)  وكان هذا مرضياً جداً أن أتأكد من مكان عاش فيه القديس تكلا هيمانوت لمدة إثنى عشرة سنة، في مرحلة فاصلة في حياته، حيث بعد تركها، حدثت معجزة ظهور ستة أجنحة له عند انقطاع الحبل في طريقه للنزول من دير ديبرا دامو..  وقمت بالصلاة لأجل الذين طلبوا الصلاة في هذا المكان، ولأجل الموقع والكنيسة..
