189- One final attempt

 محاولة أخيرة

The truck arrived on time after 3 hours unfortunately and not earlier..  I went to it, it was the same truck..  I wasn’t in the mood of another hard journey like the one I had when coming..  I negotiated with the driver to sit beside him in the cabin..  It was done..  I waited 70 minutes until they loaded all the goods from/to the truck, then people over the goods..

أتت العربة في موعدها بعد 3 ساعات للأسف وليس قبل ذلك..  وذهبت إليها، وقد كانت نفس العربة النقل..  ولم أكن في احتمال رحلة صعبة مثل التي أتيت بها..  فتفاوضت مع السائق لأركب بجانبه..  وقد حدث..  وركبت، وانتظرت 70 دقيقة حتى تم تحميل البضائع من وإلى العربة، ثم الناس فوق البضائع..

I set my mind to go directly to Gondar without talking to anyone, and drop the whole matter, sees that God doesn’t want me to carry on with this..  For a reason or another..  Maybe there were some lessons that I should learn from that visit, especially spending the night in the open..  I tried to soothe myself, in vain, not to be sad from what happened, and learn from it..

كنت قد عزمت أن أعود إلى جوندر ولا أذهب في مقابلة أحداً، وأترك الأمر تماماً، فيبدو أن الله لا يريد إتماماً لهذا الأمر..  لسببٍ أو لآخر..  ربما كان هناك بعض الدروس التي يجب أن أتعلمها من تلك الزيارة، وخاصة من المبيت في العراء..  وحاولت أن أطمئن نفسي -بلا جدوى- بألا أتضايق من الموقف وأستفيد منه..

I went back to Maxiniet, and before reaching the station, I saw one of the cars that is going to Gonder, the truck driver stopped, I got into the other car..  I’ve seen that it was all over that way..  The ease in catching the Gonder car means that I‘d better not seek meeting the head or any other..  After waiting for a little while, the driver asked me to get down, and to get in another car that will move first..  I went to it, and had to wait the reloading of the passengers..  A young man came to the car, helping his father get in, then he went away..  I called him to ask him about the headquarters of the Monastery in that village..  He knew it, I got down from the car for a final attempt..

عدت إلى ماكسينيت، وقبل الوصول للمحطة، كانت إحدى العربات القريبة ستذهب إلى جوندر، فتوقف سائق عربة النقل، وركبت في العربة الأخرى..  ورأيت أنه بهذا انتهى الأمر..  وتسهيل ركوب عربة جوندر يعني أنه من الأفضل ألا أسعى في مقابلة الرئيس ولا غيره..  وبعد فترة بسيطة، طلب السائق مني النزول، للذهاب إلى عربة أخرى هي التي ستتحرك في البداية..  وذهبت إليها، وكان يجب أن أنتظر إعادة تحميل الركاب..  وأتي شاباً يساعد أبيه في ركوب العربة، ثم ذهب بعيداً..  فناديته لأسأله عن مقر الدير في هذه القرية..  وقد كان يعرفه، فنزلت من العربة لمحاولة أخيرة..
