66- Just six pages!

When I got there, I asked the manageress about the books she had told me about, but she found nothing!!  She found only a book about Churches and Monasteries of Ethiopia, then I searched the index about any books that might have the story of any information, I found only two books about the Church of Ethiopia, and when I got them out, they had nothing about St. Teklehaimanout..  I asked her about the microfilms, she said there were for sure, and we went together to the microfilms Library, but the woman in charge there told us there was nothing about Saint Takla Haymanout!!  Then finally I asked her about the manuscripts, she assured me this time that I would find something, and when I went to the manuscripts Library, I was told to come back later because the man in charge was not there!!!

وعندما ذهبت إلى القسم، وسألت المديرة عن الكتب التي قالت لي عنها، لم تجد شيئاً!!  ولكنها وجدت كتاباً واحداً عن كنائس وأديرة إثيوبيا، فبحثت في الفهرس عن كتب قد يكون بها السيرة أو أي معلومات، فلم أجد في كتابين أخرجتهم عن كنيسة إثيوبيا أي شيء عن الأنبا تكلا هيمانوت..  فسألتها عن الميكروفيلم، فقالت لي يوجد بالفعل، وذهبنا معاً إلى مركز الميكروفيلم، لتخبرنا المسئولة عنه بعدم وجود أي شيء عن الأنبا تكلا هيمانوت!!  وأخيراً سألتها: وماذا عن المخطوطات، فأكدت لي هذه المرة وجودها، وعند ذهابي لمركز المخطوطات، قيل لي أن آتى يوم آخر لعدم وجود المسئول!!!

Sorry for all these details, but it is (after the whole story is full at the end of the day) part of the “Divine Embroidery”, by putting details and small things to stop a way and open another..

أعتذر عن كل هذه التفاصيل، ولكنها -وبعد اكتمال الصورة في نهاية هذا اليوم- جزء من "التطريز الإلهي" بوضع تفاصيل ونقاط صغيرة ليوقِف طريقاً، ويفتح طريقاً آخر..

I had nothing left but this booklet that the manageress got for me at the beginning, on its index it showed two sections: one for the Saints’ Holy Relics, and the other about Ethiopian Monasteries.  I was happy to find something in the Holy Relics section about Saint Taklehaimanot (only six pages).  After reading it, I discovered it was from the exact source of one of there reference books I read before at the Library of the Patriarchate, and from another source I saw at the Library of Addis Ababa University.  At the end of the pages, it was talking about the remains of the body of Saint Taklehaimanot, and how it was got down from the Cave after 57 years, and put at the Church in Debre Libanos..  Back then I remembered the Praise of Saint Taklehaimanot saying: “You appeared for Anba Hazkial, told Him of the day of your feast, and made Your presence shown..”.

لم يتبق أمامي سوى الكتيب الصغير الذي أخرجته لي المديرة أولاً، ففتحت الفهرس ووجدته عبارة عن قسمين: قسم عن الأجساد المقدسة للقديسين، وقسم عن بعض الأديرة الحبشية.  وفرحت عندما وجدت قسم رفات القديسين به ستة صفحات عن القديس تكلاهيمانوت.  وبعدما بدأت في قراءتها، وجدتها مشتقة من نفس أحد المراجع التي قرأتها سابقاً في مكتبة البطريركية، ومن مرجع آخر شاهدته في مكتبة جامعة أديس أبابا.  وفي نهاية الصفحات، كان يتحدث عن جسد القديس تكلا هيمانوت، وكيف تم إنزاله من المغارة بعد مرور 57 سنة، ووضعه في الكنيسة بدير ديبرا ليبانوس..  وتذكرت ما هو مذكورٌ في مديح الأنباتكلا هيمانوت: "لأنبا حزقيال ظهرت، وبيوم عيدك أخبرت، وبحضورك أشرت..".

The very last sentence said that the body was brought down from the cave after 57 years after the death of Saint Taklehaimanot on May 12, 1361 (E. C.), and that many people from all the countries come to celebrate that day (May 12^th) every year.  When I read the date, I told myself: How come I missed that day?!  How I didn’t notice it, I am here starting from April 9, 2008!!  Today is May 19!  Oh, what a loss..

وفي آخر جملة أنه تم إحضار الجسد من المغارة بعد 57 سنة من نياحة الأنبا تكلاهيمانوت يوم 12 مايو سنة 1361 بالتقويم الحبشي، وأن الكثيرين يذهبون كل عام للاحتفال بهذه الذكرى يوم 12 مايو.  وعندما قرأت التاريخ، قلت كيف فقدت هذا اليوم؟!  كيف لم أنتبه له، فأنا هنا من يوم 9 إبريل 2008!!  واليوم 19 مايو!  خسارة..
