The Canons of the Councils of Ancyra, Gangra, Neocæsarea, Antioch and Laodicea, which Canons were Accepted and Received by the Ecumenical Synods.: Canon IV
They who are of the sacerdotal order ought not to lend and receive usury, nor what is called hemioliæ.

A priest is not to receive usury nor hemioliæ.

Dionysius Exiguus and Isidore have numbered this canon v., and our fifth they have as iv.
