We went to Ethiopia three months ago as a part of the Coptic delegation accompanying His Holiness Pope Shenouda III, the informal part of the delegation..  Our aim was to get some real information about Saint Taklehaimanot the Ethiopian Saint, not only some booklets translated inaccurately, as unfortunately most of what was published about Saint Taklehaimanot in Arabic is not of a wanted standard..  And it doesn’t even represent a tiny percentage of what is available about Him..

ذهبنا إلى الحبشة منذ ثلاثة أشهر ضمن الوفد القبطي المصاحب لقداسة البابا شنوده الثالث، القسم غير الرسمي من الوفد..  كان هدفنا هو الحصول على معلومات حقيقية عن القديس تكلا هيمانوت الحبشي، وليس مجرد كتيبات مترجمة ترجمة غير دقيقة، حيث أنه للأسف جميع ما نُشِر عن القديس تكلا هيمانوت باللغة العربية ليس بالمستوى المطلوب..  ولا يمثل حتى نسبة بسيطة مما هو مُتاح عنه..

We covered the visit of H. H. Pope Shenouda III to Ethiopia in April 2008, as we covered before the visit of H. H. Abune Paulos the Patriarch to our Church: Saint Taklehaimanot Church in Alexandria during His visit to Egypt in July 2008.  Our journey was not only religious, nor did it neglect other aspects of Ethiopian life..  We visited Churches, religious & general places, museums, historical monuments, Monasteries, natural places..  etc.

قمنا بتغطية زيارة قداسة البابا شنوده الثالث إلى إثيوبيا إبريل 2008، كما قمنا سابقاً بتغطية زيارة قداسة البطريرك أبونا باولص إلى كنيستنا كنيسة القديس تكلا هيمانوت بالإسكندرية في إطار زيارته إلى مصر يوليو 2008.  وكانت رحلتنا ليست مجرد رحلة دينية نهمل فيها باقي الجوانب الحياتية للأحباش..  فقمنا بزيارة كنائس وأماكن دينية وعامة ومتاحف وآثار تاريخية وأديرة وأماكن طبيعية..  إلخ. 

We didn’t want this section to be boring by mentioning facts and headlines only..  We wrote it in a narrative way, narrating what happened as is without any retouching..  It has some personal opinions and notes that are not hidden from our dear visitor..  Many people liked that pattern, from our visitors in Egypt, Ethiopia and the rest of the world (currently we get 35,000 - 45,000 unique daily visits).  On the other hand we got another opinion with some restrains, we talked about it frankly here..

لم نشأ أن يكون هذا القسم جافاً بذكر الحقائق وعناوين الأحداث فقط..  فكتبناه بصورة قصصية، نروي بها ما حدث بالضبط بدون أي رتوش..  وبه بعض الآراء والملاحظات الشخصية التي لا تخفى على الزائر العزيز..  وقد حازَ هذا الأسلوب على إعجاب الكثيرين من الزوار في مصر والحبشة وباقي بلاد العالم (يأتي إلى الموقع حالياً ما بين 35000 - 45000 زيارة فريدة كل يوم).  وعلى الجانب الآخر جاءنا رأي به بعض التحفظات، تحدثنا عنه صراحة هنا..

We made an index for all the visit, you can find a link to it at the bottom of this page..  Also there is a detailed index for each section by itself..  Each section has tens of sub-pages, with a special title..  We uploaded hundreds of photos of all aspects of Ethiopian life of art, architecture, nature, Christian pictures..  etc.

قمنا بعمل فهرس مجمل لكل الزيارة ستجد رابط له أسفل هذه الصفحة..  وأيضاً هناك فهرساً تفصيلياً لكل قسم على حِدى..  وكل قسم كان به عشرات الصفحات الفرعية، معنونة عنواناً خاصاً..  ووضعنا مئات الصور لكافة جوانب الحياة الحبشية من فن وعمارة وطبيعة وصور دينية..  إلخ..

During the second half of June, the website stopped working as it was expired, and us being outside the country..  That was the first time the website stops working since its publishing in 2002..  But we’ll make sure that this doesn’t happen again God willing..

خلال الربع الثاني من شهر يونيو، توقف الموقع عن العمل بسبب انتهاء صلاحية كارت الائتمان المستخدم، ووجودنا خارج البلاد..  وكانت هذه أول مرة يتوقف فيها الموقع عن العمل منذ بدايته عام 2002..  ولكننا سنعمل على التأكد من عدم تكرار هذا الأمر بإذن الله..

We got lots of useful data and information about the Ethiopian Church and Saint Taklehaimanot..  Of which are published references, data being collected by noticing and questions, manuscripts..  We visited the most important places of Saint Taklehaimanot..  Like the place He was born in Etissa..  Debre Damo Monastery where He spent many years, and had the miracle of the appearance of wings to Him..  Debre Libanos Monastery and His cave where He lived the last third part of His life, died and was buried at..  Also we went to Churches and Monasteries by His name..

حصلنا على العديد من البيانات والمعلومات المفيدة عن الكنيسة الحبشية وعن القديس تكلا هيمانوت..  ما بين مراجع منشورة، وبيانات تم تجميعها بالملاحظة والأسئلة، ومخطوطات..  وقمنا بزيارة أهم الأماكن الخاصة بالقديس تكلاهيمانوت..  مثل مكان ميلاده وطفولته في إتيسا..  ودير ديبرا دامو حيث قضي العديد من السنوات به، وحدثت فيه معجزة ظهور الأجنحة له..  ودير ديبرا ليبانوس وبه مغارته والمكان الذي عاش به الثلث الأخير من حياته، ومات ودُفِن به..  وأيضاً ذهبنا إلى كنائس وأديرة على اسمه.. 

There were some negative things in the journey..  And some delays..  Of which some due to routine, financial problems, or problems because of some people..  And some delays due to us being outside Egypt, or because of the barriers of the language, culture and environment..  But on the other side, there were many invaluable blessings..  The Divine care during all that time..  And the hands of Saint Taklehaimanot that intervened with a noticeable way, daily..  If it was arranged a human arrangement, it won’t be that clear and that perfect..

كانت هناك بعض السلبيات في الرحلة..  وبعض المعطلات..  ما بين مشاكل بسبب الروتين، أو مشاكل مادية، أو مشاكل بسبب أشخاص..  ومعطلات بسبب وجودنا خارج مصر، أو بسبب حدود اللغة والثقافة والبيئة..  ولكن على الجانب الآخر، كانت هناك العديد من البركات التي لا تُقدَّر بمال..  والعناية الإلهية طوال تلك الفترة..  ويد القديس تكلا هيمانوت التي كانت تتدخل بصورة واضحة لحل المشاكل، بشكل يومي.  إن كان مُرتباً ترتيباً بشرياً لن يكون بهذا الوضوح والكمال.. 

It can’t be as easy as 1+1=2..  We won’t say that it was hard due to the problems we faced, on the personal level or the service we are presenting..  And we won’t say that it was just perfect because of the many positive things..  It is a magnificent mix of problems and blessings..  We can’t claim that if it was problem-free it might have been better..  It is a Divine arrangement..  A “package” as we can say..  Like our beloved ones from friends, families and others..  We don’t choose their good qualities only and leave the bad, we take them as a whole, one thing, with this and that..  We welcome the good and overlook the characters that we may think is not nice..

الموضوع لن يكون ببساطة 1+1=2..  لن نقول أن الأمر كان صعباً بسبب المشاكل التي جابهناها على سواء على المستوى الشخصي أو على المستوى الخدمة التي نمثلها..  ولن نقول أنه كان رائعاً فقط بسبب الأمور الإيجابية العديدة..  إنه خليط عجيب وجميل من المشاكل والبركات..  لا نستطيع أن ندّعي أنه بدون مشاكل قد يكون أفضل..  أو بزيادة البركات يكون أفيد..  إنه تدبير إلهي..  كما نقول بالإنجليزية package..  كأحبائنا من أهل وأصدقاء وغيرهم..  نحن لا ننتقى الصفات الجيدة منهم ونترك الرديء، إننا نأخذهم كشيء واحد بهذا وذاك..  نرحِّب بالجيد ونتغاضى عن الصفات التي قد نراها غير مناسبة..
