I headed in the morning to an office under the Ethiopian Tourism Ministry to ask about a guide to show me the Archeological sites of Axum.. Then I rented a car, and discovered later that there were no real need for it, it was just a matter of taking advantage of a tourist.. I visited the famous Axumite obelisks, the museum of the discoveries in the area, the swimming pool of the Queen of Sheba (which is used annually in the Ethiopian Timkat festival, which is the Baptism feast), the tombs of Emperor Kaliba and his son.. And other various monuments in Aksum..
توجهت في الصباح إلى مكتب تابع لوزارة السياحة الحبشية لأستفسر عن مرشد للقيام بزيارة الأماكن التاريخية في أكسوم.. قمت بتأجير عربة، علمت بعدها أنه لا حاجة ماسة لها، ولكنه مجرد استغلال لسائح.. وزرت مسلات أكسوم الشهيرة، ومتحف الاكتشافات في المنطقة، و مغطس ملكة سبأ (الذي يستخدم كل عام في عيد التيمكات الحبشي وهو عيد الغطاس المجيد)، وقبور الإمبراطور كالب و ابنه.. وغيرها من الآثار المتنوعة في آكسوم.

There were some bats in King Kaleb's tomb, that got their share of photographs.. :)
