I went to the Travel Agency to ask about the tours I wanna make and the prices, and knowing what other good places to visit in Ethiopia.. The prices were above what was expected.. We’ll see what is appropriate and what would God send so we start the tours.. Then I went to St. Stephanos the First Deacon, and it was filled with worshipers, and I took a couple of photographs, as it seemed like a new church, and it didn’t have much to catch the eye (iconography).. That morning I visited a new Church in the famous Bole Road, and this road is the most developed place in Addis Ababa.. I took a couple of photographs till I was stopped.. The Church is so big, and it is even bigger than the Holy Trinity Cathedral, but it is new, and it was inaugurated a couple of years ago..
ذهبت إلى شركة السياحة لمعرفة ظروف وأسعار زيارة الأماكن المطلوبة، مع معرفة الأماكن السياحية الأخرى في إثيوبيا التي من المناسب زيارتها.. وكانت الأسعار أكثر من المُتوقَع.. سنرى ما المناسب وما سيرسله الله لنبدأ في الزيارة.. ثم بعد ذلك ذهبت إلى كنيسة القديس إستفانوس الشماس الأول، وكانت ممتلئة بالمصلين، وأخذت بعض الصور الخفيفة، حيث يبدو أنها كنيسة حديثة إلى حد ما، ولم يكن بها ما يشد من الصور.. وكنت قد زرت في الصباح الباكر كنيسة حديثة في شارع بولي Bole Road الشهير، وهو من أكثر الشوارع تحضراً ورقي في أديس أبابا.. وقمت بأخذ بضعة صور حتى تم منعي من إكمال التصوير.. الكنيسة كبيرة جداً، وهي أكبر من كاتدرائية الثالوث القدوس، ولكنها حديثة، وتم الانتهاء من بناءها منذ بضعة أعوام..

In the afternoon I went to the Addis Ababa Museum, and it is in front of St. Stefanos Church at the Stadium area.. It is very modest, but it contains some very valuable pieces.. Security is funny as usual, the power was off, and this, especially for museums means there is no Alarm System installed..!
وبعد الظهر ذهبت إلى متحف أديس أبابا Addis Ababa Museum وهو في مواجهة كنيسة القديس استفانوس بمنطقة الاستاد الرياضي.. وهو متحف متواضع جداً، ولكن به بعض القطع القيمة جداً.. الأمن فيه كالعادة كوميدي، وكان التيار الكهربائي منفصلاً، وبالطبع الإضاءة غير كافية.. مع وضع المتحف في مبنى متهالك.. وموضوع التيار الكهربائي هذا، وبالأخص بالنسبة للمتاحف ربما يعني عدم وجود أجهزة إنذار من الأساس..!
I can’t understand how this happens with priceless things!!
لا أعرف كيف يحدث هذا مع أشياء لا تقدر بمال!!

At about 3.00 p. m., I went to the Ethiopian Patriarchate, and met Priest Bishoy Helmy, the pastor of St. Anthony Church in Shoubra, Cairo, and he was getting prepared to give the students at the Ethiopian Clerical College a condensed course for three days (6 hours) on the subject of “Jehovah’s Witnesses”, in the English Language..
وحوالي الساعة الثالثة ظهراًَ، ذهبت إلى البطريركية الحبشية، وتقابلت مع القس بيشوي حلمي، كاهن كنيسة القديس الأنبا أنطونيوس، شبرا، القاهرة، وكان يستعد لإعطاء طلبة الكلية الإكليريكية الأحباش محاضرة حول شهود يهوة، وهو كورس مكثف مدة 6 ساعات على مدة ثلاثة أيام باللغة الإنجليزية..
This Clerical College has students that stay in its buildings, night and day, and the College supports them from A-Z.. And others come to the college for lectures after they finish their jobs, after 6.00 p. m. And it has students of all ages..
والكلية الإكليريكية هذه بها طلبة مقيمون، أي لديهم أماكن للمبيت في مباني الكلية، ويتم الصرف عليهم من الألف إلى الياء فيها، وآخرون يأتون بعد إنتهاء أعمالهم في الساعة السادسة.. وبهم طلبة من جميع الأعمار..

During my stay at the Patriarchate, one of the people that were present during the Pope’s visit, and it seemed that he is one of the managers here, he came to me and asked me how I was doing, and how come I didn’t return back to Egypt with the rest, I told him that I wanted to visit some important Holy religious places in Ethiopia, and I told him names of some places that I intend to visit.. So he told me: “When Abune Paulos comes tomorrow from Lebanon, I’ll go meet Him at the Airport.. Come tomorrow to the Patriarchate’s Headquarter, as for you to be able to visit many places that are forbidden for some residents and tourists, and to be able to take photos, you have to take a written permission from His Holiness the Patriarch”..
وخلال وجودي في البطريركية، تقدم إليّ أحد مَنْ كانوا موجودين في فترة زيارة قداسة البابا، ويبدو أنه أحد مدراء الأقسام هنا، وسألني عن الحال، وكيف لم أعد إلى مصر مع الآخرين، فقلت له بأنني أريد القيام بزيارات لبعض الأماكن الدينية الهامة في إثيوبيا، وأخبرته عن بعض أسماء الأماكن التي أنوي زيارتها بإذن الله.. فقال لي: "عندما يعود أبونا باولص غداً من لبنان، سأذهب للقاءه في المطار، تعال إلى مقر البطريركية، لأنه حتى تستطيع أن تزور أماكن معينة لا يدخلون كثيرون من الشعب وخاصة من السائحين، وحتى تستطيع أن تقوم بالتصوير، ينبغي أن تأخذ رسالة من قداسة البطريرك كتصريح خاص للزيارة والتصوير لهذه الأماكن المقدسة"..
So I thanked God for meeting this man without any arrangements, and I felt the hands of St. Teklahaimanot putting the right people on the way to fulfill the benefits of this visit..
فشكرت الله كثيراً على هذا اللقاء العشوائي الغير مُرتَّب، وشعرت بيد الأنبا تكلا هيمانوت وهي تضع الأشخاص المناسبين في الطريق لإتمام الفائدة من الزيارة..
