Today I had to leave the hosting family, and look for a good-priced hotel, so I don’t spend much on accommodation, instead of using the money to see the places I wanted to see..  God gave us grace in the eyes of one of the Coptic congregation (Mr. Nabil Halim), so I stayed with him in his house, till he goes to Egypt for the Easter vacation..  This was by the intercession of St. Teklehaimanot, and this is just one of the things we noticed His hands on..  Especially on the same day..

كان عليّ في هذا اليوم ترك منزل العائلة المستضيفة، والبحث عن فندق ذو سعر مناسب، حتى لا أنفق كثيراً على الإقامة على حساب التنقلات ومشاهدة الأماكن التي أبغي مشاهدتها..  وأعطانا الله نعمة واقترح أحد الأقباط الموجودين باستضافتنا لفترة (أ. نبيل حليم)، حتى ينزل إلى مصر في إجازة عيد القيامة المجيد..  وكان هذا بشفاعة الأنبا تكلا هيمانوت، والذي لاحظنا يده معنا أيضاً لاحقاً في نفس اليوم..

I went to the Patriarchate to see an exhibition arranged especially for the Second Ethiopian Millennium..  Abune Keros (Fr. Karas) the Ethiopian monk guided me the exhibition, and asked one of the guides to explain the contents of the exhibition to me..  After I got in with Mr. Daniel, he started to explain to me the exhibits and portraits to me, then he asked me about my country, I answered: Egypt, and I am from Saint Tekle Himanout Coptic Orthodox Church in Alexandria.  Then he replied: “Oh ya, and your website is St-Takla.org”!!!!!!!  Yes, he did really say that :) (We will not look better if we alleged, and we won’t be less if we didn’t mention this).  I couldn’t believe my ears, and I told him: “yes, we are the servants of this site, and we are here to collect some data and photos for the website”..  He told me that he is one of the teachers at the Clerical College there, and he knows a lot about the site, as it exceeded not only the Ethiopian websites, but the international sites on the Internet, in introducing Saint Takle Haymanot & the Ethiopian Church to the whole world..

فقد ذهبت إلى البطريركية لمشاهدة معرض تم عمله في الألفية الإثيوبية الثانية..  وقام أبونا كاراس الراهب الإثيوبي بتوجيهي إلى المعرض وتوصية أحد المرشدين أن يتولى الشرح لي..  وبعدما دخلنا بدأ أ. دانيال بشرح المعروضات والصور، ثم سألني عن بلدي، فقلت له: مصر، وأنا من كنيسة الأنبا تكلا هيمانوت الإثيوبي القبطية الأرثوذكسية بالإسكندرية.  فقال: آه..  موقعكم هو  Saint Takla dot org !!!!!!!  نعم قال هذا بأمانة :)  (ونحن لن نزيد إذا إدّعينا ولن ننقص إذا لم نذكر هذا) ولم أصدق ما سمعت وقلت له نعم، نحن خدام الموقع، ونحن هنا لتجميع بعض الداتا والصور للموقع..  فأخبرني بأنه أحد المدرسين بالكلية الإكليريكية لديهم، وهو يعرف عن الموقع الكثير، حيث أنه سبق المواقع الإثيوبية بل والعالمية على الإنترنت في التعريف بالقديس تكلا هيمانوت والكنيسة الحبشية للعالم أجمع..

Mr. Daniel, the curator of the Exhibition of the Ethiopian Millennium أ. دانيال، القيم على معرض الألفية الحبشية الثانية   The nine Saints who came to Ethiopia:  :القديسين التسعة الذين أتوا إلى إثيوبيا Right to left: Abba Tsihima –Abba Pandalion – Abba Ymattaa – Abba Gubba – Abba Garema – Abba Likanos – Abba Aftsa – Abba Aragawi – Abba Alef  من اليمين إلى اليسار: القديس الأنبا تسيهيما - القديس الأنبا بانداليون - القديس الأنبا متى - القديس الأنبا جوبا - القديس الأنبا جاريما - القديس الأنبا ليكانوس - القديس الأنبا أفتسا - القديس الأنبا أرجاوي - القديس الأنبا ألف They are Syrian and Egyptian Coptic monks who came to Ethiopia after Frementious (Abba Salama), and established many monasteries, and expanded evangelism.  Before they came to Ethiopia, they were in the monastery of St. Anthony for several years in the deserts of Egypt.  Some people considered them as Ethiopians who lived in this monastery. وهم قديسين من سوريا و قديسين من الكنيسة القبطية الأرثوذكسية في مصر، أتوا إلى إثيوبيا بعد القديس فريمينتوس (الأنبا سلامة)، وأسسوا العديد من الأديرة، وقاموا بالتبشير أكثر.  وقبل حضهورهم إلى الحبشة، كانوا في دير الأنبا أنطونيوس في صحراء مصر لعدة سنوات.  وقد اعتبرهم البعض كأحباش عاشوا في هذا الدير.   Processional Ethiopian Crosses  صلبان الزفة الإثيوبية   Exhibition collection: Intro | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | 10  :مجموعة المعرض

I had a big smile on my face the whole time in the exhibition..  And I felt the hand of Saint Teklie puts the right people on my way..

وارتسمت ابتسامة عريضة على وجهي طوال مدة شرحه..  وأنا أشعر بيد الأنبا تكلا تضع الناس المناسبين في الطريق..

Then I wanted to start taking photographs, and we agreed that I came to him a couple of times to get the details about the exhibition, its pieces, and some info for St-Takla.org, and I got his cell #, and the exhibition’s pamphlet..

ثم كنت أريد أن أبدأ في التصوير، واتفقنا على أن آتي للجلوس معه بضعة مرات ليعطينا التفاصيل حول المعرض وأهم محتوياته وبعض البيانات لموقع الأنبا تكلا هيمانوت، وأخذت تليفونه وبامفليت المعرض..

Tomorrow God willing I’ll start taking the Anti-Malaria pills, as it has to be taken before going to the possible-risk places with a week, and then one each week..  I’ll ask also about other vaccines that I might need in such places..  Then we’ll start planning for the visit of Holy places, which will start with the Churches of Addis Ababa, with the monastery of Debre Libanos, which is about 120 K. M. from Addis.  Then we’ll give time to design these words, to start uploading them to the website God willing..  We apologize for the slow replies to the E-mails this time..

 

غداً بإذن الله سأبدأ في أخذ حبوب Anti Malaria Tablets حيث يجب أن تؤخذ قبل الدخول في الأماكن المحتملة بمدة أسبوع، ويؤخذ حبة واحدة كل أسبوع..  وسأسأل عن التطعيمات الأخرى التي قد أحتاجها في الأماكن التي سأزورها..  ثم سنبدأ في عمل خطة الزيارة للأماكن المقدسة، وسنبدأها بزيارة باقي كنائس أديس أبابا، مع دير ديبرا ليبانوس، والذي يبعد عن أديس بحوالي 120 كم.  ثم سنعطي وقتاً لتصميم هذا المحتوى للبدء في وضعه على الموقع بإذن الله..  ونعتذر عن بطء الرد على الرسائل في هذه الفترة..
