قصور جوندر

I went after that to the ancient Castles center in Gonder, the most famous of them is King Fasil’s castle.

ذهبت بعد هذا إلى مجمع القصور في جوندار، وأشهرها قصر الملك فاسيل.

Gondar is 750 km. from the capital Addis Ababa, and it used to be a capital of Ethiopia itself one day.  It lies at the feet of the Siemen Mountains, in a magnificent place..  It was a capital during the reign of King Fasilides at the 17^th century (1636).  The castles has a great resemblance to the Arabian castles, and of which the most famous part is the pool of King Fasil near that area, which is currently without water, but it is filled with water from a nearby river once a year at the Epiphany Feast, called “Timket” in Amharic.

جوندر تقع على بُعد 750 كم من أديس أبابا العاصمة، وقد كانت هي نفسها عاصمة لإثيوبيا في وقت من الأوقات.  ومكانها على أسفل جبال السيمن Siemen، في مكان رائع..  وقد كانت عاصمة في عصر الملك فاسيليديس في القرن السابع عشر (1636).  القصور قريبة الشبه من القصور العربية، ومن الأقسام الشهيرة حمام الملك فاسيل في قصره في مكان قريب، وهو حالياً بدون ماء، ولكن يُملأ بالماء من نهر قريب مرة كل عام في عيد الغطاس، ويُطلق عليه "تيمكات" Timket بالأمهرية.
