Today we woke up early to go to the Monastery of St. Teklahaimanot (Debra Lebanos), and I went to the Patriarchate, there I found the car waiting, that Abune Paulos thankfully let us go by it instead of general transportation..

اليوم استيقظنا باكراً للذهاب إلى دير الأنبا تكلا هيمانوت، دير ديبرا ليبانوس، وذهبت إلى البطريركية، حيث كانت هناك سيارة في الانتظار، وذلك أن قداسة البطريرك أبونا باولص حينما علم بنية ذهابنا إلى الدير بالمواصلات العامة، أمر بأن تقوم سيارة خاصة من البطريركية بسائق بتوصيلنا إلى الدير..  فشكرنا قداسته على اللفتة الطيبة..

I reached the Patriarchate after 7.00 a. m., and the car drove at 7.30..  The exact distance taken was 110 k.m. from Addis Ababa.  And the whole way was full of beautiful natural scenes, along with giving us an idea about the agricultural environment, and the nature of the people living there..  At the start of the way we saw hundreds of sportsmen and women exercising and running, where the weather here is perfect for them..  As the number of Oxygen molecules get less with the lower air pressure, and this is the environment that they were brought up and exercise in..  So when they go to international running competitions at normal Oxygen levels, they use the Oxygen well, that why they have many great sportsmen and heros..

وصلت إلى البطريركية بعد السابعة، وتحركت السيارة السابعة والنصف..  وكانت المسافة للدير بالضبط هي 110 كم من أديس أبابا.  والطريق إلى الدير هو طريق مليء بالمناظر الطبيعية الجميلة والممتعة، وبه أيضاً تعبير عن البيئة الزراعية وطبيعة المقيمين في المنطقة..  وفي بداية الطريق رأينا مئات الرياضيين والرياضيات الذين يقومون بممارسة رياضة العدو (الجري)، وهنا الجو رائع جداً بالنسبة لهؤلاء..  حيث عدد جزيئات الأكسجين تقل مع قلة ضغط الجو في الأماكن المرتفعة، وهذه هي البيئة التي نشأوا فيها ويتدربون فيها..  فعند ذهابهم إلى مسابقات العدو الدولية في البيئات الطبيعية، يستفيدون جيداً بالأكسجين، لذا يكون منهم أبطال ورياضيين عظماء..

We see also men and women carrying sticks, dried animal droppings (as kind of firewood) and logs on their back, and others grazing sheep and cattle along the way..

نرى أيضاً رجال ونساء يحلمون على أكتافهم وظهورهم الأعواد الخشبية والحطب وبواقي الماشية (تستخدم بعد تجفيفها كنوع من الوقود)، ورعي الأغنام والماشية منتشر في تلك المناطق..
