170) To Gondar by car

 إلى جوندر بالعربة

I was told that the way to Gonder takes about 2 hours by car, & I don’t need to take a plane, so I cancelled its booking..  But I arrived there after four hours!!  The car stopped many times in the road, once to buy lemon, other that the people in the car wanted to buy corn!  And another time to buy some kind of grass that is put on the floor during the Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony..  The driver was so slow..  But the road was gorgeous, with beautiful scenery, mountains and nature..

قيل لي أن الطريق إلى جوندر يأخذ ساعتين بالعربة، لذا لا أحتاج إلى أخذ طائرة، فقمت بإلغاء الحجز لها..  ولكنني وصلت إليها بعد أربعة ساعات!!  العربة توقفت كثيراً في الطريق، مرة لشراء ليمون، ومرة ليشتري الناس ذرة!  ومرة لشراء نوع من الحشائش يوضع على الأرض في حفلات القهوة الحبشية..  وكان السائق بطيئاً جداً..  ولكن الطريق كان رائعاً، من ناحية الطبيعة والجبال والمناظر الطبيعية..

I got there at 7:30, booked a room in a hotel..  Tomorrow God willing I’ll call the Diocese Office, although I know they don’t work on Saturdays & Sundays..  God will arrange the best..

وصلت في السابعة والنصف مساء، وحجزت غرفة في فندق..  في الغد بإذن الله سأتصل بمكتب الإيبارشية، مع علمي أنهم لا يعملون في السبت والأحد..  ربنا يدبر الخير..
