من أجل أن نكون
مستحقين لسماع الإنجيل المقدس. إلى ربنا وإلهنا
نتوسل بحكمة مستقيمين إنصتوا للإنجيل المقدس.
O Lord, have
compassion and mercy upon us, and make us worthy
to listen to Thine Holy Gospel. A chapter from
the Gospel according to Saint Matthew the
evangelist, may his blessings be with us. Amen.

اللهم ترائف علينا
وإرحمنا وإجعلنا مستحقين لسماع إنجيلك المقدس. فصل
من إنجيل معلمنا متى البشير، بركاته علينا. آمين.

And when they had
sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of
Olives. Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall
be offended because of me this night: for it is
written, I will smite the shepherd, and the
sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
But after I am risen again, I will go before you
into Galilee. Peter answered and said unto him,
Though all men shall be offended because of
thee, yet will I never be offended. Jesus said
unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this
night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me
thrice. Peter said unto him, Though I should die
with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise
also said all the disciples.

ولما سبحوا خرجوا
إلى جبل الزيتون فقال لهم يسوع: كلكم تشكون في في
هذه الليلة، لأنه مكتوب أنى أضرب الراعي فتتفرق
خراف الرعية، ومن بعد قيامتى أسبقكم إلى الجليل.
فأجاب بطرس وقال له: إن شك فيك الجميع فأنا لا
أشك. فقال له يسوع: الحق أقول لك أنك في هذه اليلة
قبل أن يصيح ديك تنكرني ثلاث مرات. قال له بطرس:
لو بلغت أن أموت معك لن أنكرك وهكذا كان يقول جميع
التلاميذ. والمجد دائماً لله.

الزيتون* 31 حينئذ قال لهم يسوع كلكم تشكون في في هذه الليلة لانه مكتوب اني اضرب
الراعي فتتبدد خراف الرعية* 32 ولكن بعد قيامي اسبقكم إلى الجليل* 33 فاجاب بطرس
وقال له وان شك فيك الجميع فانا لا اشك ابدا* 34 قال له يسوع الحق اقول لك انك في
هذه الليلة قبل ان يصيح ديك تنكرني ثلاث مرات* 35 قال له بطرس ولو اضطررت ان اموت
معك لا انكرك هكذا قال ايضا جميع التلاميذ*
