265- Monkeys of the Semien Mountains

 قردة جبال السيمين

I arrived at the top of the mountain after more than an hour..  I tried to recognize the way in these vast lands, I found no one to ask, I kept walking, till I saw some kind of strange brown monkeys..  I was going to watch them along with the Walia Ibex at the Siemen Mountains near Gonder, but I didn’t go due to the start of the wet season, as I was planning to spend a few days there hiking and camping in the mountains..  Then I followed them till they descended from a nearby mountain..

ووصلت إلى قمة الجبل بعد أكثر من ساعة..  وحاولت أن أستبيِن الطريق وسط الأراضي الشاسعة، ولم أجد أحداً لسؤاله، فاستمريت في السير، حتى رأيت نوعاً غريباً من القردة بنية اللون..  كنت سأذهب لمشاهدته هو ووعل يطلق عليه اسم وعل إيبيكس في جبال السيمن القريبة من جوندر، ولكنني لم أذهب بسبب بدء موسم المطر، حيث كنت سأقضي بضعة أيام في رحلة ومخيمات في وسط الجبال..  ثم تبعتهم إلى أن نزلوا من على جبل قريب..

At 3:00 pm I saw a monkey
الساعة الثالثة ظهراً رأيت قرد

 

Then the whole family of monkeys  ثم عائلة قردة

 

I left the road and hurried after them to take some shots
تركت الطريق وأسرعت وراءهم لأخذ بعض اللقطات

 

But they swiftly ran down to the valley
ولكنهم سرعان ما نزلوا إلى الوادي

 

A very huge valley with a wide river
وهو وادي ضخم جداً به نهر عريض

 

They disappeared there
واختفوا هناك

 

Then I saw them down there
ثم رأيتهم بالأسفل

 

But couldn't follow because the mountain was nearly vertical
ولكني لم أتبعهم، حيث كان الجبل شبه رأسي
