The last Church, which is St. Gerges Church is the most famous, and the most outstanding Church regarding architecture..  About the icons, it is very few in these Churches..  The old wooden doors make you feel the scent of history in them, and also the carved windows in the rocks have some very nice shapes..  With the carvings of the Holy Cross, and the round shapes at the corners of domes and columns..

الكنيسة الأخيرة وهي كنيسة الشهيد جرجس الروماني هي أشهر وأجمل الكنائس من ناحية العمارة..  بخصوص الأيقونات، فهي قليلة جداً في الكنائس..  الأبواب الخشبية القديمة تشعر بعبق التاريخ فيها، وكذلك النوافذ المنحوتة في الصخر لها أشكال جميلة جداً..  مع نقوش الصليب والحِنيات الموجودة ما بين القباب والأعمدة..

Medanny Allam Church, is the first one carved in the rocks..  It has tens of rock columns..  And you can see over some Churches and around them some metallic and wooden columns, for reservation purpose, but they spoil the view..

أما كنيسة مخلص العالم، فهي أول الكنائس المنحوتة في الصخر..  وبها عشرات الأعمدة الصخرية..  وترى فوق بعض الكنائس وحولها أعمدة من المعدن أو الخشب، وذلك في إطار الترميم أو الحفاظ على الكنائس، ولكنها تشوه المنظر..

There is only one Church that has some nice engravings and icons, but most of them are vanishing..

يوجد كنيسة واحدة فقط بها بعض النقوش والصور الجميلة، ولكن كثير منها قد ناله الفناء..
