Liturgy Gospel
Paulines Epistle
Paul, the servant of our Lord Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, appointed to the Gospel of God.
A reading from the Epistle of our teacher Paul to the Corinthians .
May his blessings be upon us.
Amen.
1 Corinthians 13 : 11 - 14 : 4
Chapter 13
11 | When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
|
12 | For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
|
13 | And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
|
Chapter 14
1 | Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
|
2 | For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.
|
3 | But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.
|
4 | He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.
|
The grace of God the Father be with you all.
Amen.
