O true light, which enlightens, every man, that cometh into the world.	Piouwini `nta`vmhi> vheterouwini> erwmi niben> eqnhou `epikocmoc.		أيها النور الحقيقي الذي يضيء لكل إنسان آتى إلى العالم.

The exposition of the eleventh hour of Great Friday of the Holy Pascha week, may its blessings be with us. Amen.		طرح الساعة الحادية عشر من يوم الجمعة العظيمة من البصخة المقدسة، بركاتها علينا. آمين.
Reader
O Israel, the captive of his sins, looks at how the Gentiles centurion confessed the divinity of the crucified. Not only him but also all those around exclaimed with him saying: Truly this was the Son of God. Also the thief of the right knew His power and asked for His mercy when he saw the wall of the alter rent, the sun occulted and the moon eclipsed. The earth shook, the rocks split, the stars fell to the earth, the tombs opened, the dead resurrected and went into town and many recognized them. When they saw that, they acknowledged the power of the crucified. But Israel was blinded; it could not see nor could comprehend. Because of the Sabbath, the bodies should not be left on wood. Thus, they asked the governor to break their knees so that they die. They broke those of the two thieves but the Savior was already dead. One of the soldiers pierced Him with a spear in His right side. Out of His side came blood and water simultaneously. The truthful witness saw that and his testimony is true. Thus the prophecies were fulfilled that none of His bones will be broken. It is also written: He will judge those who stabbed Him. The centurion went home mystified and glorified the Lord.		يا إسرائيل المسكين المسبي الذي آثامه غطت الجو، أنظر قائد المئة الإنسان الغريب الجنس، كيف غعترف بالمصلوب، وليس هو فقط بل والذين معه صرخوا جميعاً قائلين : إن هذا هو إبن الله. وهكذا اللص الذي صلب معه عرف قوته وطلب رحمته، لما نظر حجاب الهيكل إنشق من فوق إلى أسفل وصار إثنين ورأي الشمس قد أخفت شعاعها وإظلمت هكذا في وسط النهار، والقمر أيضاً ستر وجهه وصار دماً من أجل خالقه، وقوات السموات وكثرة النجوم سقطت من السماء في ذلك اليوم والأرض تزلزلت والصخور تشققت والقبور تفتحت والأموات قامت، ودخلوا إلى المدينة ظاهرين وعرفهم كثيرون من الناس، فلما نظر أولئك عرفوا قوة المصلوب على الصليب، أما إسرائيل يفإنطمست عيناه ولم ينظر ولم يفهم ومن أجل أنه في يوم الجمعة لا يجب أن تبقي الأجساد على الخشب، سألوا الوالي أن يكسروا ركبهم لكي يموتوا، فكسروا ركب اللصين، ولما المخلص فوجدوه قد مات، فأسرع واحد من الجند وطعنه بحربة في جنبه الأيمن، فجري منه ماء ودم في مرة واحدة أمام الجميع. والشاهد الصادق تامل هذا وشهادته حق هي، وهو أيضاً يعلم أنه قال الحق. من أجل هذا كتب كما نظر وكمل عليه قول الناموس أن لم يكسر له عظيم / وأيضاً قال: سينظرون غلي من طعنوه فهو يدينهم أمام أعينهم. ومضي قائد المئة إلى بيته وهو مبهوت ممجداً الله منأجل ما كان يبهت العقول ولم يفهمه إسرائيل أن المخلص يسوع بالآمه المحيية خلص العالم خلاصاً أبيدياً.
Christ our Savior, has come and has borne suffering, that through His passion, He may save us.	Pi`xrictoc pencwthr> af`i af]ep`mka\> \ina 'en nef `mkau\> `ntefcw; `mmon.		المسيح مخلصنا جاء وتألم عنا لكي بآلامه يخلصنا.
Let us glorify Him, and exalt His Name, for He has done us mercy, according to His great mercy.	Maren;`wou naf> tensici `mpefran> je aferounai neman> kata pekni]; `nnai.		فلنمجده ونرفع إسمه لأنه صنع معنا رحمةً كعظيم رحمته.
