مستحقين لسماع الإنجيل المقدس. إلى ربنا وإلهنا
نتوسل بحكمة مستقيمين إنصتوا للإنجيل المقدس.
O Lord, have
compassion and mercy upon us, and make us worthy
to listen to Thine Holy Gospel. A chapter from
the Gospel according to Saint John the
evangelist, may his blessings be with us. Amen.

And the Jews'
passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of
the country up to Jerusalem before the passover,
to purify themselves. Then sought they for
Jesus, and spake among themselves, as they stood
in the temple, What think ye, that he will not
come to the feast? Now both the chief priests
and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that,
if any man knew where he were, he should shew
it, that they might take him.

وكان قد اقترب فصح
اليهود فصعد كثيرون من الكورة إلى أورشليم قبل
الفصح يتطهروا وكان اليهود يطلبون يسوع ويقولون
فيما بينهم وهم قائمون في الهيكل ماذا تظنون العلة
لا يأتي إلى العيد ؟ وكان رؤساء الكهنة والفريسيون
قد اصدروا أمرا انه ان عرف أحد أين هو فليدل علية
ليمسكوه والمجد لله دائما.

اورشليم قبل الفصح ليطهروا انفسهم* 56 فكانوا يطلبون يسوع ويقولون فيما بينهم وهم
واقفون في الهيكل ماذا تظنون هل هو لا ياتي إلى العيد* 57 وكان ايضا رؤساء الكهنة
والفريسيون قد اصدروا امرا انه ان عرف احد اين هو فليدل عليه لكي يمسكوه*
