Museums of Ethiopia متاحف إثيوبيا

 

First of all, note that Ethiopia follows the Gregorian Calendar, so now (2008) in Ethiopia is the year 2000 (Second Millennium!), starting from September 12, 2007.

قبل كل شيء، نوضح أن أثيوبيا تتبع التقويم الغريغوري، والسنة الآن (2008) في إثيوبيا هي عام 2000 (الألفية الثانية)!  بدءاً من يوم 12 سبتمبر 2007.

This exhibition is organized by The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church Patriarchate in Addis Ababa, on the occasion of the celebration of the 2000 anniversary of the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ.  It was opened to public on September 14, 2007.  And it is extended to visitors from all over the world until the end of the celebration of the millennium.

قامت البطريركية الإثيوبية الأرثوذكسية التوحيدية في أديس أبابا بتنظيم هذا المعرض بمناسبة مرور 2000 سنة على ميلاد السيد المسيح.  وقد تم افتتاحه للجمهور يوم 14 سبتمبر 2007.  وهو ممتد للزائرين من كل أنحاء العالم حتى نهاية الاحتفالية بالألفية.

The exhibition was organized to show the life of the Ethiopian Church for the last 2000 years, and the contribution of the church to the civilization of humanity, and in the preservation of ancient human knowledge, as well as to show how the Lord Jesus Christ was worshiped in the Church.

تم تنظيم هذا المعرض ليُظهِر حياة الكنيسة الإثيوبية على مدار 2000 سنة، ومساهمة هذه الكنيسة في الحضارة الإنسانية، وفي الحفاظ على المعرفة الإنسانية القديمة، وأيضاً لِيُبَيِّن كيف كانت تتم عبادة السيد المسيح في الكنيسة. 

It is to be recalled that Ethiopia stands out to be the only country in the world to have a combined history of faith in One God, both in the Old and New Testaments.  In Ancient Egypt this occurred during the reign of King Akinaten only.  Ethiopia also is one of the richest countries in the world possessing ancient ecclesiastical manuscripts, priceless treasures, world heritage sites and incredible edifices and relics.

من الجدير بالذكر أن إثيوبيا هي البلد الوحيدة في العالم التي كانت تعبد إلهاً واحداً، في كل من العهد القديم والعهد الجديد.  حدث هذا في مصر القديمة في وقت حكم الملك إخناتون فقط.  إثيوبيا إيضاً من أغني بلاد العالم التي تحتوي على مخطوطات كنسية قديمة، وكنوز لا تقدر بمال، وأماكن التراث العالمي وصروح ضخمة وآثار مقدسة..

The exhibition is the biggest of its kind in Ethiopia, and contains more than 14 major sections, and 33 subsections  (of which: history of Ethiopia – Ethiopian architecture – Habashy monastic tradition – church school – Ethiopian manuscripts – leadership – holy treasures – the Holy Synod – the church in development & social welfare - production).. etc.  The Grand Exhibition is organized with international standards, and displays more than 800 relics, paintings, manuscripts, artifacts and publications of remarkable historical, cultural and religious values rarely on display to the public in a systematic fashion.

يُعَد هذا المعرض الأكبر من نوعه في إثيوبيا، وبه أكثر من 14 قسماً رئيسياً، و33 قسماً فرعياً (منها أقسام: تاريخ إثيوبيا - العمارة الإثيوبية - الرهبنة الحبشية - مدارس الكنائس - مخطوطات إثيوبية - القيادة - كنوز مقدسة - المجمع المقدس - تطور الكنيسة الحبشية والعلاقات الاجتماعية - الإنتاج).. إلخ.  وقد تم تنظيم هذا المعرض الكبير طبقاً للمقاييس العالمية، ويُعرَض به أكثر من 800 معروض ما بين آثار، صور، مخطوطات، أعمال يدوية فنية، ومنشورات ذات قيم تاريخية وثقافية ودينية نادرة معروضة فيه للعامة بطريقة منظمة.

There are exhibition guides from the Holy Trinity Theological College in Addis Ababa, they explain the contents of the exhibition and narrate history in Amharic, English and other local languages.

وهناك مرشدين للمعرض من كلية الثالوث القدوس اللاهوتية في أديس أبابا، وهم يقومون بشرح محتويات المعرض ورواية التاريخ باللغة الأمهرية، الإنجليزية، ولغات محلية أخرى.

The ongoing exhibition of national dignity had so far been visited by thousands from all corners of the world..  It has won the admiration of the diplomatic community, ministers and other Ethiopian government officials, regional representatives, adherents of Christianity and other religions.

وقد زار هذا المعرض القومي الآلاف من كل أنحاء العالم..  وقد نال إعجاب المجتمع الدبلوماسي، والوزاء، ومسئولي الحكومة الحبشية، وممثلي الأقاليم، والمؤمنين بالمسيحية وغيرها من الأديان.
