137- Alexandria is Our Mother

 الإسكندرية هي أمنا

I told him how they first approved that I copy the manuscript, then changed their minds..  He told me that this is the office that the Monastery follows, and through the permission that they’ll give me, I can do this..  And when I told him about our Church in Alexandria and the aim of this visit, he said: “Alexandria is our mother”..  He also told me that when I get ready to go, he is ready to come with me himself to make sure that this matter is settled..

وحكيت له كيف تم منحي السماح بتصوير المخطوط، ثم عادوا وغيروا رأيهم..  فأخبرني أن هذا هو المكتب التابع الدير له، ومن خلال التصريح الذي سيعطونه لي، يمكنني هذا..  وعندما أخبرته عن قصة كنيستنا بالإسكندرية وغرض الرحلة، قال: "الإسكندرية هي أمنا"..  وقال لي أيضاً أنه على استعداد أن يأتي بنفسه معي إلى الدير للتأكد من تنفيذ هذا الأمر..

I thanked God for arranging to finish this issue from another side, and thanked Saint Taklehaimanot for His prompt answering..  Also that same office was the one that gives me the permission to another place that I was going to visit, and I would have had to come here either ways..  And now I came to that place from a very near distance, as I was in the Monastery already..  Instead of coming here especially from Addis Ababa.

فشكرت الله على تدبير هذا الأمر من ناحية أخرى، وشكرت الأنبا تكلا هيمانوت لسرعة استجابته..  وأيضاً أن نفس المكتب ظهر أنه سيعطيني تصريح لمكان آخر كنت أنوي زيارته، وكنت سوف آتي إلى هذا المكتب للتصريح بأي حال من الأحوال..  وأنا الآن أتيت إلى المكتب من مسافة قريبة من الدير الذي كنت موجوداً به بالفعل..  بدلاً من الذهاب خصيصاً له من أديس أبابا.
