That was the ending of this long and detailed report about this day, the time now is 2:50!

انتهى التقرير الطويل عن هذا اليوم، والساعة الآن الثالثة إلا عشرة دقائق..!

 

Oh, I forgot to mention that the moon today, after there were no more clouds nor rain, looks very nice, I had never seen it like this since I came here..  The moon was full and bright..  I didn’t miss that shot.. :)

آه، نسيت أن أذكر أن القمر في هذا اليوم، بعد انقشاع السحب ونهاية المطر كان منظرة أكثر من رائع، لم أره منذ أتيت إلى هنا..  وكان بدراً منيراً بطريقة جميلة..  وقد قمت بتصويره.. :)

On that day I wondered: Why did I go today to the Ethiopian Studies Center in particular?  Why didn’t I go anywhere else when they told me to come after one hour?  Why was I allowed to use the Library against the rules; as I didn’t have an ID Card yet?  Why I didn’t find any books that I wanted except only one book, although I was told before of the availability of more than one source of books, microfilms & manuscripts?!  How come that this one book, and that only useful section in it was talking about moving the Holy Relics of Saint Taklehaimanot on May 12?!!  And how I met someone by chance to tell me to go to that festival on that day in particular?!  Why, and for the first time of my being here for over than 40 days, I get to know that the official date that is being used for real, and not only at some special cases, is the Ethiopian Calendar..?!  Although I did notice before that some organizations use the general Calendar..

Can't we say about this that it is the “Divine Embroidery”?!

في ذلك اليوم أفكر: لماذا ذهبت لمركز الدراسات الإثيوبية بالذات؟  ولماذا لم أذهب في مكان آخر عندما أخبروني أن أعود بعد ساعة؟  ولماذا تم السماح لي باستخدام المكتبة ضد القوانين، حيث لم يكن معي كارت العضوية بالفعل؟  ولماذا لم أجد سوى كتاب واحد فقط مما أطلبه، على الرغم من أنه قيل لي سابقاً بوجود أكثر من مصدر ما بين كتب وملفات ميكروفيلم ومخطوطات؟!  ولماذا وجدت محتوى ذلك الكتاب الواحد، والقسم الذي قرأته، يتحدث فقط عن نقل جسد القديس تكلاهيمانوت يوم 12 مايو؟!!  وكيف قابلت مَن يخبرني بأنه يجب أن أذهب للاحتفال في ذلك اليوم بالصدفة البحتة؟!  ولماذا -ولأول مرة من وجودي في إثيوبيا منذ أكثر من 40 يوماً- أعرف أن التاريخ الرسمي المُستخدم بالفعل، وليس في أمور خاصة فقط، هو النتيجة الحبشية..؟!  على الرغم من أني سابقاً لاحَظت أن بعض الهيئات تستخدم التقويم العادي..

ألا نستطيع أن نطلق على هذا.. "تطريز إلهي"؟!
